3km Sacco prides itself in offering the following services to its members

a) Types of loans offered are:

• Farm Input loans

• Business development loans

• School fees loans

• Emergency loans

b) Maximum Loan a member can apply for is 3x his/her deposits.

c) The interest rate varies with type of loan

d) Members are given 1-month grace period before they start repaying their loan. The repayment period is 12 months maximum.

e) Loan Application Requirements:

• Must be a fully registered member with share subscription for at least 6 months

• Must have share capital of 2,500

• His/her monthly savings must be up-to date

• Duly filled loan application form with 3 guarantors who must also be members with shares in the Sacco

f) Loan and Shares Subscription Methodology

• Cash through the office

• Deposit in the bank through the Sacco’s pay bill

• Pay in kind using banana and Beans delivered that is deducted using the check-off system (Da-power)

b) Farm inputs through 3km farmers Agro-Vet

c) Certified Banana seedlings produced using Rapid Multiplication Technology

We multiply and supply banana seedlings to farmers

d) Transportation of farm produce and ploughing

e) Extension Services
